Vision

History of the Organization

Our educational organization has a long-standing history and has always dedicated itself to heartfelt teaching, particularly nurturing children in early childhood education. Since 1979, we have been providing high-quality early childhood education services for children aged two to six in the community.

Our organization established “Tak Yan Kindergarten” in 1979 and “Charles Bilingual Kindergarten” in 1987. Many graduates have become distinguished members of society and contribute to the community. Miss Janis was the founding principal of both schools and has gained recognition from the community in Yuen Long and Tuen Mun for her commitment to our school’s educational philosophy and the love from alumni and parents. In 2015, Miss Janis also founded “Little Newton Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten,” continuing her mission to nurture children.

Educational Philosophy

Centered around “Holistic Education and Rooted in Life,” our goal is to cultivate well-rounded characters and autonomous learners who are prepared for the future.

Educational Mission

“To inspire every child to become a lifelong learner”
By igniting curiosity with Newton exploration spirit in a bilingual immersion environment, we foster independent learning attitudes through life-themed inquiry-based exploration. Children are encouraged to explore nature, develop empathy, broaden their horizons, and become socially responsible individuals with scientific literacy and humanistic care.

Origin of the Name "Little Newton"

The name “Little Newton” symbolizes Isaac Newton’s curiosity and exploration spirit as a role model, encouraging children to observe and discover like Newton. We integrate learning into everyday life scenes such as nature observation, artistic creation, and community interaction, enabling children to construct knowledge through active discovery. This approach embodies the philosophy of “education as life,” building lifelong learning energy through daily exploration.

Educational Goals

  • Inspiring Scientific Thinking
Develop children’s observation, questioning, and verification skills through natural observation and practical life activities to establish a foundation of scientific literacy.
  • Building Trilingual Core Skills
    Create scenarios in Chinese and English to develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills;
Use language as a thinking tool, focusing first on enhancing “listening and speaking” before extending to “reading and writing.”

Social responsibility

  • Our educational organization has always upheld the philosophy of “Taking from society, giving back to society,” and we spare no effort in giving back to the community and caring for others.
  • During the “Public Welfare Fund Casual Day 2024” event, our school raised a total of $10,850. We sincerely thank parents and teachers for their support. The entire amount will be donated to over 167 social welfare member organizations, benefiting more than 2.5 million people in need.
  • In 2025, our school participated in Oxfam’s Poverty Alleviation Fundraising Campaign, aiming to encourage young children to support Oxfam through practical actions and to cultivate their caring spirit.
  • In March 2022, Little Newton distributed various epidemic prevention supplies to children, including face shields, masks, and rapid test kits, in hopes of protecting children and parents. We also sincerely thank all sectors of society and parents for their donations and assistance!
