Our school has been optimizing the school-based nature and life curriculum since 2021. We have participated in the School-based Support Group organized by the Education Bureau and received funding from the Quality Education Fund. Starting with reading interesting picture books, we guide children to explore natural phenomena and scientific concepts embedded in the stories. In class, we emphasize the principle of “from shallow to deep, from simple to complex” so that children can gradually master construction and exploration skills while cultivating their spirit of inquiry.
In addition to observation, planning, pre-tests, post-tests, and practice, teachers also share their experiences with families and conduct parent-child interactive exploration activities under children’s guidance. This approach encourages children to develop their exploration abilities and deepen their understanding of the natural world through engaging and meaningful activities.
