Traditional Chinese stories, poetry, music and art inspire children’s love for Chinese culture and foster cultural confidence. The school holds a weekly flag-raising ceremony to teach children proper etiquette and to strengthen their sense of national identity. As the festival approaches, the school organizes celebrations that allow children to wear Chinese costumes and taste traditional snacks, thereby increasing their understanding of Chinese customs and fostering their national identity. The school successfully organized activities such as the ‘Little Newton Chinese Cultural Tour,’ during which teachers and students climbed Lantau Island to visit the Tian Tan Buddha and enjoyed vegetarian food at Po Lin Monastery.
